Livermore Upcoming Water Project August 28, 2017

Last week the new six-inch water mains and fire hydrants arrived in Livermore. The Livermore City Residents should be aware, that it likely that their water service will be interrupted. Also, that boil advisory will be very common during this large of project, you might experience low water pressure or no water at times. If you have discolored water try flushing your lines and check water color before doing laundry. This project includes a major overhaul of the Livermore water treatment plant, some new lines, shut offs, hydrates and meters will be installed. You can tune in for updates in Humboldt Independent Livermore News, KHBT and KLGA radio stations and at City hall and on the lighted sign out front. You are always welcome

Livermore USDA Water Project gets underway

Last week Quam Construction Company, Inc. of Willmar, Minnesota start pulling equipment into Livermore and started this week installing the new six-inch water mains, water values and fire hydrants. Cost estimates for this project are approximately $450,000.00 and it is expected to take about six weeks to complete this section 2 of the USDA project. Livermore Residents should be aware, that it likely that their water service will be interrupted. Also, that boil advisory will be very common during this project, you might experience low water pressure or no water at times. If you have discolored water try flushing your lines and check water color before doing laundry. Beemer Companies of Fairmont, Minnesota will perform Section 1 of this project that includes a major overhaul of the Livermore water treatment plant, with new lines to the new water well rehab along with all new controls will be installed. Cost estimates for this project are approximately $742,000.00 and a start date has not yet been set. The ISG Engineering (I & S Group, Inc) of Algona has designed and will be overseeing the project for approximately $242,000.00 for total project cost of approximately $1,409,000.00 dollars. This project is financed by United States Department of Agriculture (USDA) Rural Development under direction of Sonny Perdue, Secretary of Agriculture and Donald J.
